Corey Ferguson of Fullerton College was a junior college prospect Cali Gold Mine highlighted with this May 23 feature.

At the time, Ferguson had just one scholarship offer: South Alabama of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).

Now, Ferguson is joining the Cincinnati Bearcats' 2014 recruiting class.

The hard-hitting 5-foot-11, 190-pound cornerback gave his verbal commitment to the Bearcats on Monday, July 22. He took a visit last week to the Cincinnati campus and literally fell in love with the atmosphere.

Bearcat fans and coaches should love Ferguson. He's got a mean streak to his game. He's a massive hitter who's capable of setting the tone for a defense. I loved his ability to close quick on screen passes then blow that play up.
