Week four
gold mines:
ZACH
ANGELLILO, MLB, SAN JOAQUIN MEMORIAL (FRESNO)
The
6-foot-1, 185-pound Angellilo was everywhere for the undefeated Panthers, as he
recorded 10 tackles, one sack and one interception during SJM’s 28-20 victory
over Sunnyside.
CAMERON
LAMANUZZI, OLB, BULLARD (FRESNO)
Playing
against an improved Clovis West team armed with speed everywhere through its
spread offense approach, Lamanuzzi made 11 tackles in the Knights’ 42-28 win
over the Golden Eagles.
JOSEPH “JOJO”
MCDANIEL, RB, HANFORD
He’s
probably the most underrated running back in the Central Section and his week
four performance catapulted him to new heights, with 302 yards and three
touchdowns as the Bullpups trounced in-city rival Hanford West 55-27.
CHARLES
WILLIAMS, RB, BULLARD
Williams
carved up a stout Clovis West defense for the second straight year, this time
for 249 yards on 37 carries and three touchdowns.
ADRIAN
MARTINEZ, QB, CLOVIS WEST
Despite the
loss, Martinez has become one to watch for the Class of 2018, after combining
for 351 yards and three touchdowns against Bullard.
RYAN
MUSCARELLA, WR, CAMARILLO
Muscarella
didn’t have a 100-yard night before the contest against Ventura, but wound up
becoming the Scorpions’ most explosive playmaker on a team with several of
them. The senior had 136 yards in one half and scored twice on three receptions
in Camarillo’s 48-7 stomping of the Cougars.
BRONSON
SMITH, DE, CAMARILLO
Smith collapsed
the Ventura pocket and helped set the tone for the Cam defense, as he led an
energetic run defense in the 41-point thumping.
JOEY DE LA
ROSA, RB, ARROYO GRANDE
De La Rosa
led a powering Eagle running attack against a high-octane St. Joseph (Santa
Maria) team, as he averaged 8.3 yards per carry and scored three times in the
41-7 upset over the previously unbeaten Knights.
AUSTIN
VREELAND, ATH, SANTA YNEZ
Vreeland
touched the football 13 times and totaled 188 yards with two scores, as the
Pirates improved to 5-0 with their 42-0 shutout of Fillmore.
ELIJAH
DOTSON, RB, ANTELOPE
Dotson
rumbled his way to 212 yards and three touchdowns in the 55-21 rout of
Ponderosa.
NAPOLEAN
KAUFMAN JR., WR, BISHOP O’DOWD (OAKLAND)
The son of
the former Oakland Raider caught three passes for 98 yards and scored twice in
O’Dowd’s 42-6 trouncing of Oakland Tech.
